Torque Tyres and Automotive opened 20 years ago to bring outstanding repair services to the Tullamarine area. Ray Apap opened Torque Tyres along side with his son James. Family History

The Apap family has been in the Automotive business for 50 years. George Apap opened up his workshop in 1976 and had taught his sons everything about the automotive world.

Ray then opened up the next chapter of the family legacy. He started with a fuel and mechanical workshop in Westmeadows in the 1980's. Through lots of hard work and dedication he continued to build the Apap name. Ray then opened up Torque Tyres and Automotive in the early 2006, carrying forward the same passion and work ethic his father had instilled in him. His son James joined him in this next adventure and gave Ray the opportunity to pass down all his knowledge he has learnt being in business, along with everything his father taught him.

What began as a modest garage quickly grew into a trusted name in the community. Customers appreciated not only the technical expertise but also the honesty and personal care that had become synonymous with the Apap name.

James took over the family business in 2021 and has truly excelled. He’s become a trusted figure in the community, and the workshop is now known as a reliable place where people feel confident bringing their cars for repairs.

Over time, James has expanded the business to include modern diagnostics, car servicing, and performance upgrades, blending old‑school craftsmanship with new‑age technology.
